Waterford Flood Alleviation Phase 1

With the Quays in Waterford having a history of flooding Waterford City Council began their flood alleviation works in this area of the city. The vision was not to take from the grand vista of the river that is an integral part of the city. As a result the works primarily consist of almost 1 kilometre of glass flood wall.

Our works included all preparatory works for the glass walling. We designed and developed the system of glass walling to meet the requirements of the consultant engineers brief. The location of the contract within the historical part of the city required a very high standard of workmanship and in particular to the subsequent streetscaping, whilst always respecting the archaeological importance of the area.
